Recovery Lawyer

Ramon Vastmans, LL.M, founder of Vastmans Advocacy, is the driving force behind Recovery Lawyer. Mr. Vastmans specializes in asset recovery and debt collection in the Netherlands, dispute resolution and business advisory.

Experience

Before starting his own firm, Mr. Vastmans gained experience at several law firms in the Netherlands. After training at the Amsterdam branch of a major U.S. law firm, he spent the majority of his career in the M&A and corporate litigation department of a well-respected firm in The Hague. He later moved to a specialized bankruptcy, asset recovery, and anti-fraud firm in Utrecht.

Education

Mr. Vastmans studied Dutch law in Maastricht (LL.B 2014, with honors) and graduated cum laude from Radboud University School of Law in 2018. He also completed an LL.M program at Penn State University's Dickinson School of Law in 2017.

Academia

Mr. Vastmans has authored and co-authored several articles and case notes on Dutch corporate and commercial law, including this article (p. 17-22) on Asset Tracing in the 2023 EU Insolvency Proposal.
